First of all, a hugemendous thank you to everyone (new and old) who visited yestereday and left comments ^_^ I’m glad you all enjoyed whichever post you read. I’m still reading through all of the amazing blurbs from the ‘Show Me Yours Blogfest’, so I promise if I haven’t yet, I’ll be by your place soon. It was a lot of fun to participate in both, and I’ve met some amazing new writers, as well as been reminded why I adore those I already knew.

Below is what was supposed to post yesterday. Which means Ronnie won’t be allowed to talk to y’all until Thursday. That’s okay, she’s busy telling me how to rewrite her story, so she’s happy for the layover.

It’s January 3 January 4, which means we’re four days into 2011. Awesome. If you’ve read my posts for any number of days you know I’m not so good at planning things out. But every once in a while I manage a structure and to stick to it for a couple of weeks. For instance, I wrote this post like…a week ago. Woot! (and came back to edit it five minutes before it was scheduled to post because it didn’t make sense to me seven days later. And then, of course, pulled it for a day in favor of participating in blogfests).

I have a new (very loose) schedule for my blog. I will — in a classic marketing move — tell y’all it’s because you should know when to expect you can come back for certin types of things. Really, it’s so I know what to write about when I can’t think of anything to write about.

So:

  • Monday: Industry and Submission updates. What am I doing, what am I reading about, what’s big in the publishing industry (or at least, what caught my attention).
  • Tuesday: Guest Post from a fictional character
  • Wednesday: Book Reviews
  • Thursday: Guest post from a fictional character (and the occasional real person)
  • Friday: TLIF! (Thank Loki it’s Friday) where I get to put all the spiffy good news and happiness from the week. Basically it’s a free-for-all (like the rest of the week won’t be ;-).

As you can see, I’m not big on the alliteration. And Tuesday and Thursday exist partly so I can get inside my character’s heads, but mostly so if I decide not to post on those days, I can blame it on the made up people who didn’t show for the day.

Now that my brilliant plan is in place, let’s see how long I stick to it 😀 I also plan this year to start looking for an agent again, maybe get a novella or two published, and write lots more short stories and maybe finish a couple of novels.

Since I’m anti-resolution, what are your goals and hopes for the coming year?
