I had a dream the other day that I changed my blog layout and I was pretty happy with the outcome. In my dream it was this really clean, white-space filled layout. It was so professional like a business card from American Psycho, but with just a hint of pink to show off my personality. Which may or may not be the way it will turn out when I get it posted, but the dream inspired me. However, this is about something else changing just a little bit around here.

Back at the beginning of the year I had this epic idea that I was going to make myself a blog schedule, and I was going to rock it and every day of the week I’d follow my schedule.

Yeah, not so much. I didn’t even post that way once. But after I recognized my inability to adhere to such a strict and uptight thing as a…*gasp* schedule, I recanted and got back into the habit of pretty much posting five days a week. Six in April. Let’s hear it for regular posting.

And now life has come along, and it turns out my real schedule (there’s that vile word again), is going to keep me from posting every weekday the way I’d like.

So I’m doing something I never thought I’d do, I’m sharing this blog with another poster. Allyson will be along to help fill the void when I’m busy and entertain y’all with her wacky stories. She’s insists she’s not a writer, but I disagree. We’re very close, and I know her better than I know my own sister, so I can make assessments like that. She’s got a fascinating story to tell – and I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

She’ll probably be by tomorrow, depending on how things work out. And with any luck, her posting will give me more time to focus on actual writing in my free time instead of just writing about writing.
