Seems like so many of you have nifty themes for your blogs every day of the week. Or at the very least, Friday. I’d like a theme too, and for today it will be TLIF. (it may be different next week. Sweetie has an idea that I’m thinking about using to give us all some laughs).
What’s it mean?
Thank
Loki
It’s
Friday
I’ve deleted this paragraph about six times now because I can’t figure out how to explain myself. I’ve decided now that explanation would not suit me and I will just say if you’re curious about Loki…(my intepretation), two words Uriel’s Fall. Oh, I like this game. Two more words Apathy’s Hero. Not the short story. Which is scheduled to appear in A Thousand Faces before the end of the year. And yes, I’ll post links as soon as it’s up.
Speaking of Norse Gods, I discovered the first Avengers movie is scheduled out next year. Call me un-American, but I could take or leave Captain America. However, I am a huge fan of the Iron Man movies (seriously, Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark is pretty much my ultimate favorite film interpretation of an alter ego to date. Christian Bale comes close, but only because he’s sexy, and because Heath Ledger rocked like Pop Rocks as the Joker). I’m also as infatuated with Thor as I am Loki, and I swear to my lord and master that if they make Thor the girly looking muscle-man that they did in the recent Avengers cartoons, that I will find a new name to place after the ‘T’.
You know, like…Khali. TKIF?
Okay, that did not come out right at all. The point is, Tony Stark Rulez Meh, and if they screw up with Thor, I may have to swear off any more comic book movie adaptations from Marvel. And no, I’m not really a comic book fan, I’m just real good at pretending. Even better than I am at pretending to be a gamer. Not a long story, but not an interesting one either. Don’t ask.
And what does any of this have to do with writing?
Uriel’s Fall. Apathy’s Hero.
I mentioned two of my favorite story names and two of my favorite characters I’ve written. Full circle. Or something.
What’s your favorite thing about weekends (whether your weekend is traditional or falls in the middle of the week)?
