I keep meaning to do this, and keep totally forgetting. So, before I ramble in my standard ‘Friday rules’ kind of way, a quick reminder:
Don’t forget about #RANDOMfest. It’ll be a lot of fun, and probably a very quick blog post for so many of us writers. And on the same day (February 11), on Twitter, we’ll be tweeting more unused/random titles and story ideas from our hard drives ^_^
I’m getting critique notes back from two friends. Well, I already got the notes back from one, and the second set matches. It turns out that my instinct was trying to tell me something during the revising process of ‘Uriel’s Fall’ when it wanted me to deleted the entire middle of my book. Apparently, in an effort to streamline things, I’ve edited out half the plot and conflict (in case you thought Scott was lying about that).
Which is good feedback, and valid, but now I have no idea what to place back in there. I have an idea forming in the back of my head, and as soon as my Hiatus is over (which I will define right now as finishing the two novels I’ve started, and seeing the movies I want to see), I suspect I’ll be able to go and patch things up.
Sucky part is, I already submitted the old, plot-free version to ABNA. Meh.
Do you know how to listen to your instinct when it comes to your writing? (or any work).
I’m all geared up for your blogfest! See you there. have a very wonderful weekend
Yay for #randomfest! I’ll promote it later on twitter too!
Not sure but I’d like to think I follow my instinct well when writing. Hard to tell at this stage but I guess we’ll find out won’t we? 😉
