My Review

I love a strong heroine in a story who knows when it’s appropriate to lean on her partner, and when she needs to stand on her own, and Daciana doesn’t disappoint. From the very start of the book we can see she’s not only strong and fierce, but torn between her two worlds.

As the story unfolds, things heat up both on Daciana’s investigation, and with Connell. I found myself turning pages one after another, drawn forward by the action, suspence, and romance of this book.

This is a dark, compelling, and intense read, that paves its own path in the genre and strays away from worn and tired tropes. TF Walsh has done a brilliant job of drawing us into Daciana’s world and holding us captive until the very last page.
